Harry and Barbara Pedersen founded Pedersen's in 1949 in Vancouver, Canada as an off-premises catering company. Today, we are the largest celebration services company in the Pacific Northwest with branches in Victoria and Seattle.

Our catering background created a strong foundation for the company and in 1968, after 20 years of catering, Pedersen's evolved into a full time equipment rental operation. We have always been dedicated to providing the exceptional service and quality products necessary in creating a perfect event.

Over the years Pedersen's has been fortunate enough to serve a wide variety of events with international exposure including EXPO 86, Molson INDY Vancouver, The Clinton-Yeltsin Summit Talks 1993, Vancouver Airport Opening 1996, APEC 1997, NHL Allstar Weekend 1998, and The Royal Family Visit in 1998. We have also supplied many corporations such as PepsiCo, Loreal International, Amway Japan, Jaguar Motor Co., Volkswagen International, and Ford Mexico when their travel has brought them to Vancouver.

Pedersen's has also been able to offer its continued support at a local level assisting in the success of charitable functions for organizations such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Art Gallery, The Vancouver Hospital Foundation, Vancouver Playhouse, Face the World Foundation, Endeavour Society, Canuck Place and Canuck Foundation and many others. This variety of events also includes many special private endeavours.

Over the years Pedersen's has seen many changes and in 1990 a second location was opened in Victoria to service Vancouver Island.  In 1999 Pedersen's Rentals celebrated 50 years of service with the opening of a new 35,000 square foot facility and in 2001, we opened our Seattle location. We have been fortunate to maintain the family identity with second and third generations still active within the business. Company President Bill Pedersen and wife Albina, daughters Rhonda and Kim, and son in law Dave all contribute to the daily operations at Pedersen's.

As leaders in our industry, we attempt to anticipate the growing needs of our customers and pride ourselves in the variety of specialty items that we continually add to our inventory. As the "Celebration Experts", we pledge to make every event an event worth remembering.
